This George Kilibarda-developed application presents artists with a novel means of showcasing their artwork: they can create a virtual gallery that presents their creations; others can explore that virtual gallery and view the artwork while music plays in the background. Hang up your artwork in a virtual gallery that you create and let others explore it at their convenience.

The Image Armada installation file is 36.7MB in size. The application can be installed on top of a PC powered by anything from Windows XP onward. That PC must meet these minimum specifications: 1GHz processor, 1GB of Ram, 100MB of free disk space, 128 MB 3D graphics chip with shader model 2.x or above. A modern PC will have absolutely no problems meeting these minimum specifications.

Image Armada comes with two components: Image Armada Builder and Image Armada Viewer. The Builder features a ribbon interface that isn’t difficult to figure out. The ribbon is at the top, the galleries, furniture, lights and other elements you can use to decorate a gallery are on the left, a preview of the gallery is to the right.

Use the Builder’s straightforward interface to build your virtual gallery. Pick the types of frames you want to use, pick the furniture, lighting and surfaces you want to see around the gallery, and choose the artwork you want to showcase in the gallery. If you want to, complement the visual experience with some audio – some music or a nice narrative.

Use the Viewer to take a stroll through your virtual gallery and see what you come up with. Think of it as playing a 3rd person shooter – just like instead of going around a building shooting monster, zombies, or whatnot, you’re exploring a virtual gallery and checking out artwork.

When you’re satisfied with the results, package the gallery into an exhibition ready for being viewed in a web browser, ready for being distributed online, or ready to be distributed on a CD.

There are several Image Armada editions to pick from: Free, Pro, Creator, and Ultra. The free version is limited to a maximum of 10 artworks per exhibition and comes only with the standard features. You can get started with the Free edition and upgrade to one of the other three Image Armada flavors at a later time.

Easily come up with a virtual gallery that showcases your artwork, then get others to take a tour of the gallery. You can do that with the properly good Image Armada application.

Pros

It is quite easy to create a virtual gallery with the application. Use your artwork and your music for the gallery. Others can take a virtual tour of the gallery and see your artwork. There are several Image Armada editions to choose from.

Cons

The Free edition has only standard features to offer and is limited to a maximum of 10 artworks.
